Quinte West woman charged in stabbing
NAPANEE -A 24-year-old woman from Quinte West has been charged in relation to a stabbing incident.
Lennox and Addington OPP requested the public’s assistance in locating Breanne Hass early Friday after a motorist was stabbed Thursday evening. OPP report officers were called to the scene of an altercation between two motorists on Amherst Drive in Amherstview. During the incident, a woman stabbed a 47-year-old occupant of one of the vehicles. Lennox and Addington Paramedics attended the victim who was taken to hospital where he was treated for non-life threating injuries.
L&A County OPP Crime Unit, along with OPP Forensic Identification unit attended the scene to assist. As a result of this investigation, the OPP arrested Hass on charges of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon. She was held for a bail hearing.

Suspended driver charged
A 33-year-old Belleville man has been charged after driving while under suspension.
City police report an officer on patrol Thursday night stopped a vehicle on Pinnacle Street after recognizing the driver as a suspended driver. Police confirmed the driver’s identity and, after speaking with him, learned he was driving without insurance.
As a result the man was issued a summons to appear in court in September.
Unwanted person arrested
A 23-year-old woman has been charged following an incident in Thurlow Thursday.
Belleville police were called to an address in the northern ward just before 11 p.m. and were advised an intoxicated woman was becoming violent. Police located the woman outside the residence, and she was arrested for public intoxication.
The woman was later released after being issued a ticket.
