QW traffic stop leads to several arrests – Quinte News

The Quinte West OPP arrested three people following a traffic stop in Trenton.
On November 23, 2021 at approximately 10:30 p.m., Quinte West OPP conducted a routine traffic stop on Dufferin Avenue in Trenton.
The vehicle contained three occupants who were all known to police.
The driver, who admitted to having a suspended driver’s licence was arrested, and following a search, a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, cannabis and pills were seized.
One passenger was arrested for breaching a court-ordered curfew and the other was arrested on an outstanding warrant for probation violations.
Brian Brown, 43 years old of Quinte West has been charged with the following offences:
Suzanne Witkowski, 56 years old of Quinte West has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.
Scott Comeau, 31 years old of Quinte West has been charged with three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
Brown and Witkowski were held in custody and are scheduled to appear for bail at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on November 24, 2021. The other accused was released with an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 2, 2021.
