JACKSON, MI – AWARE, Inc. is hosting a Kentucky Derby livestream fundraiser with southern fare and games.
The Jackson-based organization’s inaugural Kentucky Derby event is Saturday, May 7, in the Commonwealth Commerce Center Grand Ballroom, 209 E. Washington Ave. The event will feature mint juleps, a cash bar, wagering games, a best hat and best tie competition and a livestream of the 2022 Kentucky Derby.
Tickets are $85 per person, $150 for two or $500 for a table of six. Each ticket includes a meal with a drink ticket for each guest, along with access. Tickets can be purchased on AWARE’s website.
AWARE, Inc. offers 24-hour crisis and referral services, temporary shelter, housing advocacy, counseling support, public awareness and community education, supervised visitation and safe exchange services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their children, officials said.
The Kentucky Derby event kicks off with a cocktail hour for sponsors starting at 4 p.m. and will be joined by the rest of the guests starting at 5 p.m. Guests can enjoy our wagering games and cash bar until dinner begins at 6 p.m.
