Adobe’s Firefly generative AI tools are now widely available

Following several months of beta testing, Adobe has announced that its Firefly generative AI model is now commercially available across multiple platforms, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Express, and Adobe Experience Cloud. This marks a significant step in expanding the reach of Firefly’s AI-powered capabilities to a broader audience, offering a range of creative professionals and enthusiasts access to its innovative tools.

The Firefly-powered workflows, which were previously limited to the beta versions of Adobe’s apps, are now generally available to most users. Features such as Illustrator’s vector recoloring, Express text-to-image effects, and Photoshop’s Generative Fill tools, all powered by Firefly, are now accessible to a wider group. These advancements streamline workflows and unlock new creative possibilities, allowing users to generate highly customized content and visual assets more efficiently. However, it’s important to note that there are still some regional restrictions in place, particularly in countries with strict AI laws, such as China, where the full availability may be limited.

In addition to the integration within Adobe’s core applications, the company is also launching a standalone Firefly web app. This new app will enable users to explore Firefly’s generative capabilities without the need to subscribe to specific Adobe Creative Suite applications. This move opens up Firefly’s innovative features to a broader audience, offering a taste of its potential to those who may not yet be committed to Adobe’s full suite of tools. With this step, Adobe is positioning Firefly not only as an integral part of its flagship software but also as a standalone solution for creators seeking to enhance their projects with generative AI.
